Mrs. Helen Plunkett

Mrs. Helen Daniel Plunkett, 79, of La Porte, Indiana, died Sunday July 15, 2012 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born August 25, 1932 in Hillsboro, Alabama, the daughter of James C. Daniel and Claudis (Terry) Daniel. Helen retired in1993 after 14 years of service as a warehouse worker for Whirlpool Corp. She had also worked for Modine Mfg. for over 14 years. She was a member of the Modine Retirement Club and she enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. She is survived by her daughter - Jo Plunkett Eberhart of La Porte, IN; 2 Grandsons - Eric Eberhart of Portage, IN, Jamie Eberhart of KY; and a great granddaughter - Alexandrea Eberhart of New Carlisle, IN. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Curtis Daniel. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A graveside service will be held at Patton Cemetery, Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow.
