March 7, 1958-December 10, 2021

Sheena Yvonne Hunter, 63, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Friday December 10, 2021 at Northwest Health La Porte Hospital.

She was born March 7, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of James Donald Howard and Betty JoAnn (Lee) Howard.

Sheena was a member of the Christian Fellowship Worship Center. She was a Christian woman who loved her church. She enjoyed traveling and she never met a stranger. She was a CDL Driver for many years as well as a travel agent. She loved being around people. She truly enjoyed singing gospel music and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

She is also survived by her two daughters, Christina Buchanan, Karlena (Johnny) Murff; son, Stevie Hunter, Jr.; brother, Ricky Howard; sister, Cheryl Lowry; three grandchildren, Jayvaughn, Jace, Johnny; and husband Stevie Hunter.

Sheena was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2nd from 4-6 pm. A “Life Celebration” will take place at 6 PM with Pastor Shawn O’Neill officiating. Cremation to take place.
