Mr. Ramon Del Real, 72, of La Porte, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at 7:12 a.m. at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Municipio Colotlan Cerrito Verde, Jalisco, Mexico, to Juan De Dios and Sara Carrillo Del Real, and had lived in La Porte for 23 years. Mr. Del Real had worked as a dishwasher at L&G Truck Stop for 12 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. On Jan. 28, 1959, he married Ramula Torros, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Javier of Remington, Ind., Ismael of Portage, Adolfo Sr. of La Porte and Everardo of Boswell, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Verania, Berenize, Gilberto, Artemio, Virginia, Heriberto, Karina, Adolfo Jr., and Cody Del Real and Maria de los Angeles; two sisters, Guadalupe and Soledad, both of Mexico; and three brothers, Francisco and Jose, both of Mexico and Salvador of La Porte. His parents, one sister and four brothers preceded him in death. A funeral Mass will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, La Porte, with Rev. David Kime officiating. Friends may call at Haverstock Funeral Home, La Porte, Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Burial will be in Providencia, Municipo de Colotlan, Jalisco, Mexico.
