Robert Pekofske Jr.

Robert Anthoney Pekofske Jr., 69, of Rolling Prairie, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025 at Miller’s Merry Manor in New Carlisle.

He was born on October 16, 1956, in La Porte, to Robert and Verna (Selvidge) Pekofske Sr.

On December 19, 1981, in Hanna, IN, he married Patricia Underwood, who survives.

Robert loved taking road trips and looking at various farms, “road farming”. He enjoyed holiday camping trip with his brother-in-law and friends. Robert also enjoyed watching his favorite shows, Walker Texas Ranger and Star Trek. Most of all He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and sharing Cheetos with his great granddaughter, Hazel. Robert was greatly loved and will be truly missed.

Also surviving are his children, David (Christina) Pekofske, Jason (Melissa) Lovely and Stefanie (Scott) Biller; grandchildren, Jade Willis, Kaitlyn Pekofske, Thomas Pekofske, Clara Lovely, Tilly Lovely, Madison (Jake) Molloy, Kattrina Biller and Savannah Biller; great grandchildren, Hazel Molloy and Harper Molloy; sister, Joyce Pekofske; Aunt, Margaret Thompson; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, (219) 362-3333. Funeral service will be on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday. Burial will be at New Carlisle Cemetery.
