Ronald Smith

Mr. Ronald Lee Smith, age 61, of Mill Creek, Ind., died 10:58 AM Thursday, March 8, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born September 16, 1945 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Cedric Smith and the late Helen Draves Smith. He has lived all of his life in the LaPorte and Mill Creek area. Mr. Smith was employed by Aero Metals for seven years, at American Home Foods for ten years and Modine's for five years. He was a member of Sauktown Church of Christ. He had a good sense of humor and like to fish. On September 21, 1985 in LaPorte Ind. he married Trudy Jones who preceded in death February 28, 2007. He is survived by his Two Daughters, Victoria Smith of Mill Creek, Ind., Kim Allred of Kingsford Heights, Ind.; Five Sons, Mr. Ty Diane Smith of Mill Creek, Ind., Mr. Bret Gretchen Smith of Mill Creek, Ind., Mr. Peter Sandy Smith of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Ronald Smith II of Mill Creek, Ind., Mr. Bobby Allred of Arkansas; and Twelve grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 11, and 2007and from 12:00 noon until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2007, Rev. Howard Simmons officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind.
