Ruth L. Wilson November 25, 1920-September 12, 2017 Ruth L. Wilson, 96, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in La Porte. She was born November 25, 1920 in Farmington, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Short and Gweneth (Hanna) Parkhouse. Ruth was a member of the The Rebekah Lodge and the Woman's Letter Carrier Auxiliary. Ruth enjoyed cooking and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. On July 23, 1941, in La Porte, IN, she married Harold Wilson who preceded her in death July 3, 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Lunce of La Porte, IN; three grandchildren, Kristin, Nicholas, and Gregory; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Chase, Dexter, and Piper; brother, Allen Short of La Porte, IN; two sisters, Ethel Cable of La Porte, IN, and Genece Hunsley of La Porte, IN. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Janet Hahn, son-in-law, Dennis Hahn, son-in-law, Rick Lunce; brother, Merlin Sampson; four sisters, Dorothy Carpenter, Juanita Stayback, Grace Keene, and Edith Crawford. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the The Family of Ruth L.
