Stanley Crane

Stanley M Crane December 8, 1958-November 21, 2025 Stanley M Crane, 66, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at his home. Stanley was born December 8, 1958, in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Donald Crane and Helen (Galko) Crane. 

Stanley was a lifelong resident of La Porte and a member of Holy Family Parish, attending both Sacred Heart and St Peter's. He was a graduate of La Porte High School and built a career with Liberty Mutual as an insurance agent. Stanley enjoyed working out with his friends at Planet Fitness, as well as cheering for the Fighting Irish and the Chicago Bears. He was a builder who loved helping others and he showed this by rebuilding appliances for the less fortunate and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. His real passion, though, was his family, especially his grandchildren, who he lovingly watched grow up. Stanley was greatly loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his loving grandchildren, Brenda Emerick, Omaha, NE and Robert Emerick II, Grand Island, NE; his wonderful neighbors and friends, Joe and Mary Preston and their 3 children; daughter, Harmonie Crane; son, Michael Crane. 

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Josephine; aunt, Josie Galko; uncle, Matt Galko. 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. The family will Lay Stanley to Rest at Pine Lake Cemetery on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with prayers from Holy Family Parish.
