Tony spent many years working in production at Federal Mogul, where he was known for his strong work ethic. He was a proud graduate, having earned his associate's degree after completing high school, a testament to his commitment to education and personal growth.

A true embodiment of passion, Tony was a major fan of Notre Dame, reveling in the thrill of college football and cheering on his favorite team. He also found joy and solace in his guitar playing, showcasing his remarkable talent that resonated with those around him. Additionally, his artistic flair was evident in his pencil art drawings, each piece reflecting his unique vision and creativity.

Family played a central role in Tony's life. He cherished his mother, Patricia, and held a special bond with his siblings, brother Erik Ames and sister Dawn Lewis. His legacy continues through his beloved nieces, Brandi (Frank) Anderson and Keri (Jeremiah) Keehn, and the delight of his great-nieces and great-nephews: Chloe, Frank, Caleb, Morgan, Lilah, Macklyaa, Alyssa, and Carter. Tony often spoke of his love for his family and treasured every moment spent with them. He was also fond of his cat, Binx, who brought him much joy and companionship.

Tony's life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving family who will carry forward his spirit, and he will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Ames, and his niece, Sara Euler. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a heartfelt imprint on the lives he touched.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. The family has chosen cremation at this time with a graveside service later this year.
