William Hardesty

Mr. William L. Hardesty, age 79, of La Porte, Ind., died 11:20 AM Thursday, December 28, 2006, at The Arbors of Michigan City, Ind. He was born December 27, 1927 in Caruthersville, Missouri to late Bert Hardesty and the late Bonnie Hardesty Hardesty. He has lived in the LaPorte area for 55 years coming from Blytheville, Ark. Mr. Hardesty was a co-owner and operator of Bill and Gene Service Inc, a CITGO Station Located on US 12 in Michigan City, Ind. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Michigan City. Ind. On June 18, 1974 in Michigan City, Ind. he married Patricia Swearingen who survives. He is also survived by his Two Daughters, Mrs. Linda Carol James Lampert of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. June Christina Eugene Skibinski of Michigan City, Ind.; Three Step Daughters, Mrs. Kay Fillmore of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Debra Ron Linn of Woodstock, Ga., Ms. Michelle Jon Bair Ladwig of La Porte, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. Charles Wayne Linda Hardesty of Michigan City, Ind., Mr. William Anthony Ruth Hardesty of Michigan City, Ind.; Two Step Sons, Mr. Garry Julie Errichiello Ladwig of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Douglas Ladwig of Portage, Ind.; Twenty Two grandchildren; Thirty Four great-grandchildren ; Four Sisters, Mrs. Zana Sommer of Tell City, Ind., Mrs. Rowena Curtis Niswonger of Michigan City, Ind., Mrs. Pauline Presley of Rector, Ark., Mrs. Ruth Gene Hugley of La Porte, Ind.; and One Brother, Mr. Gary Leo June Hardesty of Marion, Ark. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 1, 2007and Tuesday 9:00 AM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 2, 2007, Rev. Richard Poole officiating. Interment will be at Posey Chapel Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
