William Mumaw

William O.Mumaw May 7, 1960-February 23, 2018 William O. Mumaw, 57, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born May 7, 1960 in Lebanon, Indiana, the son of David Mumaw and Phyllis (Thompson) Mumaw. William was a member of the First Church of God. He collected die cast cars and loved spending time with family and friends. On March 5, 1988, in Fish Lake , IN, he married Mary E. (Bailey) Mumaw who preceded in death February 9, 2018. He is survived by his two sons, Matthew Mumaw and Andrew Mumaw both of La Porte, IN; two brothers, Lee (Roberta) Mumaw and Thomas (Tina) Mumaw both of La Porte, IN; sister, Margaret Sawyer of La Porte, IN; two sisters-in-law, Elsie (James) Keel and Ruth New both of La Porte, IN; and many nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister-in-law, Linda Kuhns. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Thursday, March 1, 2018, 10:00 am until time of the service at the First Church of God. A life celebration will be held at the Church, Thursday March 1, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeff Zigler officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
