Yvonne Peeples

Yvonne L. Peeples, 82, of LaPorte, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025 at Northwest Health in La Porte.

She was born January 15, 1943 in Michigan City to Henry and Loretta Smith

Yvonne was a homemaker who loved flowers and gardening. She enjoyed going to all the church functions at Tracy Methodist Church. Yvonne also loved bible study. She held bible study at Oakwood Manor for 22 years.

She was greatly loved for her beautiful smile and contagious laughter. Yvonne loved meeting new people and asking as many questions as she could to get to know them. She always cared for any person she met, stranger or not. She will be truly missed.

On April 9, 1966 Yvonne married Richard Peeples who survives.

She is also survived by three sons, Scott Henry John Peeples, Todd Michael Joseph Peeples, Craig Richard Thomas (Tabatha) Peeples; two sister-in-laws, Wanda, June (Bruce); two grandchildren, Mailee Peeples, Maleia Peeples.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; two brother-in-laws, Tom Peeples and Joe Peeples.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00, Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Tracy Church, 1702 US-35, Hamlet, IN 46532. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Rev Tony Ferreira and Mindy Heidel officiating Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at Kingsbury Cemetery.
