He was born in Rensselaer, IN, on December 7, 1957, the son of Edward and Dorothy (Snow) Watson.

Doug served in Germany in the United States Army as a PFC, working in communications. He was honorably discharged in 1979 as a sharpshooter and M16 expert. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, bagging deer, boar and coyotes, and was a huge Packers and Yankees fan.  Doug also rode a Harley and had a classic Chevelle convertible. He loved and was very happy bird watching and spending time with his precious grandchildren and very spoiled German Shepherd, Porter.

Along with his wife, Doug is survived by his son, Charles Anthony (Desiree) Stacy, Walkerton, IN; daughters, Tricia Watson, Magnolia, AR, Sarah (Cole) Drake, Magnolia, AR, Stefani Howard, Alabama; brother Lauren Sprague Jr.; sisters, Marina (Matt) Blivens, San Diego, CA, Coral Graham, St. George, Utah; grandchildren, Aubrey Stacy, U.S. Marine in training Nathan Stacy, Hunter Stacy, Paige Stacy, Emma Drake and Coby Drake.
