Howard L. Scarborough December 26, 1942-September 3, 2018 Howard L. Scarborough, 75, of Union Mills, Indiana; an area resident all of his life, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at his residence in Union Mills, Indiana. He was born December 26, 1942 in Koontz Lake, Indiana, the son of John Scarborough and Harriet (Ames) Scarborough. On June 7, 1975 he married Sharon Stevens who survives. He has five children Scottie Scarborough who passed in August 2008, Penny (Erik) Fuller, Jimmy Scarborough who passed in May 2016, Del Scarborough who survives, Amanda Scarborough who passed in July 2006. He has nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Michael (Bri) Travis their children Ryker and Reese. Erika and Angela Fuller. Lucas (Felisha Stout) Scarborough their children Ryder, Landyn, Colson and Emma Kay Scarborough (deceased). David Melichar, Carly Kohout, Jacqueline, Makayla, and Makenzie Scarborough. Eight sisters Phyllis (Lee deceased) Reeves, Donna (David) Doepping, Mary Bornell (deceased) twin sister Harriet (Richard) Lute, Sally Scarborough, Jennie (Michael) Niksch, Debbie Scarborough, and Edie (Gene) Foreman; five brothers, John (Marge) Scarborough, David (Loretta) Scarborough, Raymond (deceased) Linda Scarborough, Roy (Lil) Scarborough, and Richard (Dorrie) Scarborough. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Indiana. A life celebration will be held at Union Mills Cemetery, Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with brother-in-law David Doepping and Rev. Jeff Hines officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Mills Cemetery, Union Mills, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Mills Cemetery Association.
