Nicky Cummins, 74, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 at his home.

He was born May 18, 1948 in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, the son of and Roscoe and Leona Cummins.

On July 1, 1967, he married Janet Cummins who preceded him in death in 2016.

Nicky has been a resident of the area all of his life, and he excelled playing basketball for New Prairie High School.  Nicky worked in the warehouse at Midland Grocery and enjoyed watching Nascar on TV and going in person (from the 1990's to the 2000's).  He also enjoyed watching Football on Sundays, loved to fish, camp, and go to Four Winds Casino.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Cummins of La Porte, IN and a grandson, Sebastian Cummins.

Nicky was also preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Leona Cummins, and a son, Brett Cummins

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN.  Cremation will take place.  Burial will be at a later date.
