Norma Noakes

The funeral for Mrs. Norma J. Noakes, 72, of 215 Rockwood St., LaPorte, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte with Reverend Jack Cox officiating. She died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004 at 5:05 p.m. at LaPorte Hospital. Friends may call Thurs. from 3-8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Friday until the service. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte. Memorial contribution may be made to the charity of the donors' choice. She was born July 15, 1931, in Michigan City to Margaret Ritter. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading and playing games with her grandchildren. On May 12, 1950, in Michigan City, she married Thomas G. Noakes, who died Nov 30, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her mother and brother Louis. She is survived by one daughter Margaret Dennis Long of LaPorte and five sons, Thomas G., and David, both of LaPorte, John of Grand Rapids, Mich., Louis Mary of Berrien Springs, Mich., and William Anetta of Hollywood, Fl.
