Quintin Alan Mayo

December 22, 2000-March 21, 2023

Quintin Alan Mayo, 22, of Mill Creek, Indiana, passed away Tuesday March 21, 2023 in Lake County, IN after being involved in a motorcycle accident.

He was born December 22, 2000 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Richard and Carrie Mayo.

A lifelong resident of the area, Quintin graduated from La Porte High School in 2018, earning his Certified Mechanics License after his first year of High School and went on to work for Cleveland Cliffs Steel with his Dad, where he was a member of the Steel Workers local 6787.  He had many interests and enjoyed a variety of activities. Quintin was a 3rd degree black belt in Mixed Martial Arts, a member of the Fish Lake Baseball Club and a volunteer for the fish fry at the Fish Lake Conservation Club.  He built his own computer and loved video gaming. Quintin enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling with his dad, and riding his motorcycle.  He also proudly owned a 2019 Silverado truck which he upgraded with big tires and chrome.  Most of all, Quintin loved his family.  He often took his mom out for dinner and played with his niece.  He was a "Master Roaster", always joking around and acting silly but having fun.  He lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by those who survive him, including: his parents, Richard and Carrie of Mill Creek, IN;  grandfather, Sam Mayo of Michigan City, IN; brother, Scott P. Newman of MI; sister, Cheryl (Nathan) McCrudden of La Porte, IN; aunt, Stacie (Jeffrey) Harrison of Michigan City, IN; two uncles, Chris (Dea) Mayo of Munster, IN, Randy Mayo of Michigan City, IN; niece, Airadessa McCrudden and Yorkshire Terrier, Jack.

Quintin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Mayo.
