September 22, 1967-April 12, 2021

Reuben Cravens, 53, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, Monday April 12, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.

He was born September 22, 1967 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Reuben W. Cravens Jr. and Sue Ann (Bartos) Cravens.

A lifelong resident of the area, Reuben was self-employed, working on automobiles doing bodywork and restoration for most of his career, which he really enjoyed. He was a huge Vikings fan and loved watching the oldies, like Rifleman and Gunsmoke on TV. Ruby had a very endearing personality and a kind soul and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents; his sister, Michelle Cravens of La Porte, IN; aunt, Terri (John Mills) Bartos of La Porte, IN and uncle, Robert Bartos of La Porte, IN.

Reuben was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Bartos.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. Cremation has been selected.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to his mother, Sue Ann Cravens, in care of Haverstock Funeral Home.
