Teresa Bluhm

Teresa M. Bluhm September 6, 1951-April 10, 2018 Teresa Marie Bluhm, 66, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away April 10, 2018 at the University of Chicago Hospital in Illinois. She was born September 6, 1951, in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Wilbur F. Dadlow and Leota (Thompson) Dadlow. Teresa was active in 4-H as a child and had been an avid crafter since. She graduated from LaPorte High School, class of 1969. She first worked at Berkel out of high school. Through the years she worked various places, LaPorte High School in food service, as a craft manger at Walmart in Greenville, OH, and as a transport at LaPorte Hospital. She recently retired as a secretary from Haverstock Funeral Home after 18 years. She loved cooking for family and dabbling with different recipes. Teresa's greatest joy was being active in her grandson's lives. She loved working outside with them and planting flowers. On a beautiful day July 7, 1973, in La Porte, IN, she married Randall L. Bluhm, who preceded her in death December 15, 1991. She is survived by her parents; daughter, Melissa Bennett; two grandsons, Jacob and Connor Bennett; brother, Greg (Carolyn) Dadlow; two nieces, Jennifer (Ryan) Lowery and Stephanie (William) Fischer; great-niece, Penelope Fischer; great nephew, Hunter Fischer; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded by her husband, grandparents, DeVere and Gladys (Garwood) Thompson, Fred and Edith (Ehmke) Dadlow, and step-grandmother, Jessie (Childress) Dadlow. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 9:00 am -11:00 am. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 11:00 am with Pastor Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at the Door Village Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
